It was important to us that we create a product that promotes the simple things in life - connecting with nature + slowing down.

What is a fire starter?
A natural fire starter consists of items foraged from nature mixed with soy wax or beeswax in a small, fire-friendly container.
At Cuddles + Campfires, we make sure that all of our packaging is fire-friendly too. Just toss it into the fire for easy clean up + zero waste!
When you're ready for some cuddles by the fire, simply place our fire starter beneath your kindling, light the wick + add your logs.

Our Family
We think it's important that our customers can put a face to a name. Meet me (Lindsay), my husband Matt + our two boys, Kieran + Liam. We love spending time with our dogs outdoors + getting together with friends + family over good eats!
My husband is an entrepreneur too + we're really excited to finally join forces + take on this new adventure together. Having the kids involved was really important to us to maintain our family time as priority.
We believe that life is about the simple things + making the most of our time by creating beautiful memories together.

Our Process
At Cuddle + Campfires, we love that our process involves the entire family. It's an opportunity for us to create, explore + have fun together.
Find + Forage
Nature's gifts are everywhere
Co-existing with nature requires a healthy balance of give + take. We forage nature's gifts from local forest floors + meadows, local walking trails, community parks, roadsides + our very own backyard.
Common items found locally include oak, maple + birch tree bark, pine + cedar branches, wood chips + edible wild berries.
This is our boys' favourite part of the process because it's all about adventure!
We believe it's important to respect ecosystems + mother nature so we only forage a small amount from any one location.
Curate + Create
Creativity feeds the soul
We take our inspiration from the seasons + our favourite smells of nature.
We locally source our herbs + spices to compliment our foraging treasures.
After carefully selecting our ingredients, we place them in paper muffin cups, add in our essential oils + soy wax + voila!
Each fire starter collection is curated to enhance your special moment + evoke emotions of joy, serenity + contentment.

Smell is the sense of memory + desire
Familiar scents bring comfort + can flood seemingly forgotten memories to the present.
The perfume my grandma wore, or the laundry detergent I washed my boys' baby clothes in - we all have our favourite scents that remind us of that special someone or something.
At Cuddles + Campfires we only use high quality, pure unadulterated essential oils to create our fire starter collections and source them from Canadian manufacturers whenever possible.
